Who we are

Started in 2023 because half the county couldn't get a callback.

Nick started SoFlo Iguana Pros in Lake Worth in 2023 for a simple reason: South Florida had plenty of guys who'd grab an iguana off a seawall for the afternoon, plenty more who'd never call you back — and not many who'd actually solve the problem and show up when they said they would. We built the company around that gap.

We stayed small on purpose. It's two people who do the work — Nick and lead trapper Mauricio — so the person who quotes your property is the person standing on your seawall the next morning. No dispatcher routing your call to a stranger, no franchise script. That's why customers name us by first name in review after review, and why they call us back the next season.

Green iguanas are an invasive species doing real structural damage across Palm Beach County, and controlling them takes more than a net and a good afternoon. We treat removal, trapping, and prevention as one job, and we keep every bit of it inside FWC guidelines and genuinely humane. That combination — licensed, insured, local, and honest about what your property actually needs — is the whole company.

How we're different

What you get from a local crew you don't from a franchise.

Plenty of companies will remove an iguana. Four things set the work apart — and every one of them is why the repeat calls and HOA contracts keep coming.

Local and actually fast

We're based in Lake Worth, not a call center three states away. That's why a Boca seawall or a West Palm burrow usually gets a same-day or next-morning visit, and why Nick answers his own phone.

Humane and FWC-compliant

Green iguanas are invasive, but the method still matters. We work under FWC guidelines — hand-capture, catch-pole, and monitored traps — with no poisons and no traps left baking in the sun.

Prevention, not just removal

Netting the ones you can see is the easy half. We collapse the burrows and wrap the climb routes so the property stops refilling — the step that turns a monthly bill into one call.

Real documentation for HOAs

Boards and property managers get itemized service records and catch logs they can file and hand to residents. When the association asks what's being done, there's a paper trail that answers it.

Meet the team

Two names you'll see all over our reviews.

SoFlo Iguana Pros is Nick and Mauricio. When a customer writes about the person who showed up on a Sunday or pulled 19 iguanas off their property, this is who they mean.

Nick

Owner · Licensed Wildlife Specialist

Nick started the company in 2023 and still runs most of the calls himself. He's the one who calls you back, walks the property, and gives you the straight read on whether it's a single visit or a program. Customers name him by first name in review after review — the Sunday-morning dead-iguana call, the 45-minute rescue out of a master bedroom — because he's the one who showed up.

Mauricio

Lead Trapper

Mauricio runs the trap lines and the heavier removals — the roof and bougainvillea jobs, the 19-iguana clear-outs, the properties that take four weekly visits to bring down. Customers from Palm Beach to east Boynton mention "Trapper Mauricio" by name for showing up same-day and communicating the whole way through. He and Nick work most estate and HOA jobs together.

The standard

Show up, tell the truth, do it right.

The bar isn't complicated, it's just rare: arrive when we say we will, tell you honestly what's going on — even when the honest answer is "you only need one visit" — put the price in writing, and do the work so you stop thinking about it. That's what earned the 5.0 across 123 reviews, and it's the standard we hold every job to.

  • Same-day and next-morning response, seven days a week
  • Honest scoping — a single visit when that's all you need
  • Documentation an HOA board or property manager can file

How we work

From the first call to the follow-up.

Every job runs the same way, whether it's one iguana in a pool cage or a mile of HOA lake bank. Clear steps, a price you see up front, and a record at the end.

  1. 1

    You call, we answer

No phone tree, no ticket queue. You reach Nick or the team directly, describe what you're seeing, and get a real person who knows the county on the other end.

  2. 2

    We walk the property

The free walk of the seawall, yard, and roofline finds the burrows, runs, and climb routes — and tells us whether this is a one-time job or an ongoing one.

  3. 3

    You get a straight quote

A firm price and a plan in writing before we start. One-time clear-out or a monitored program — your call, and nothing you can't cancel.

  4. 4

    We do the work, humanely

Removal, trapping, and burrow collapse handled under FWC guidelines by licensed, insured hands — with prevention built into the same visit.

  5. 5

    We follow up and report

Scheduled follow-ups keep the pressure down, and you get the documentation an HOA board or manager can put on file.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. SoFlo Iguana Pros is a licensed and fully insured Florida company. Every removal and trapping job is handled under FWC guidelines, and we carry the coverage that lets us work waterfront estates, condo buildings, and HOA common areas without the property owner taking on the risk.

Are your methods humane and legal in Florida?

They are. Green iguanas are classified as invasive in Florida, so you can have them removed from your own property year-round with no permit — and we do it the right way. Reachable iguanas are taken by hand or catch-pole and the rest go into monitored traps we check on a schedule. No poisons, no traps left to sit, nothing that puts pets or kids at risk.

How long have you been in business?

Nick founded the company in 2023, and in that time we've earned a 5.0 rating across 123 Google reviews doing iguana and wildlife work throughout Palm Beach County. We're a small, local operation on purpose — it's what keeps the response fast and the work consistent.

What areas do you serve?

All of Palm Beach County. We're based in Lake Worth and cover the Intracoastal seawalls on the coast, the canal neighborhoods inland, and the community lakes out west — West Palm Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach, and the surrounding communities.

Do you handle wildlife beyond iguanas?

Yes. The same crew handles the rest of what South Florida throws at a property — poisonous cane toads that threaten dogs, raccoons in attics and ductwork, opossums under decks, and Muscovy ducks fouling docks and community lakes. One licensed, insured team and one number to call.

Do you offer ongoing programs, or just one-time visits?

Both. A single yard with one or two iguanas is usually a one-time clear-out, and we'll tell you if that's all you need. Waterfront lots, community lakes, HOAs, and golf courses that refill from the bank next door do better on a monitored program — priced to the property, month to month, with no lock-in.
